enemy planes attacked the Railway. 6 bombs were dropped
at the bast kiver Bridge and Shek Lang Yard damaging the
turntable and Permanent Way Workshop, and 4 rails: in the
siding. The telegraph wires between Shek Tan and Shek
Lung were interrupted. 1 bomb was dropped at Km. 95/4
damaging the telegraph wires, and 1 at Km. 114/7
demolishing the shek ku station building and damaging
4 rails and 20 sleepers. £ bombs were dropped at
In 118/4 and 118/8 but without causing any damage, and 8
bombs at Km. 126/6 and 126/15 damaging the telegraph wires.
Repair to track was immediately carried out.
SHEK LUNG - WANG LIK. At about 18.00 hours 2 enemy again planes/raided the Railway when 3 bomba were dropped into
the Shek Lung yard with the result that the Loco. Kunning
Shed and store vere burnt to the ground and the turntable
vas again damaged. 1 bomb was also dropped at Am. 80,
near the Permanent way Gang Hut without any damage.
